This time of year if full of love, fun, family gathering, and lots of good food! It also brings lots of work, effort, and yes, stress. As my husband’s grandmother says… yes, it’s that time of the year to pull your hair out. HA! I understand what she means because apparently we will be hosting Thanksgiving at our house from now on and it’s been A LOT OF WORK especially if its for thirty guests total!

PLAN ON IT
Planning my must-do’s and must-haves for the month has been my saving grace. This is truly a MUST DO for your must-do’s! It puts me in the spirit of the month and it’s easy to keep track on what needs to be done. It’s especially amazing if you also work at home where you have no boss to tell you what to do… The planner can be the boss for you! I have been using the Happy Planner Miss Maker classic planner and I absolutely love it!
If this doesn’t scream Fall and Thanksgiving season… I don’t know what it is! The stickers from Happy Planner are always so cute and you will always find something that you’re looking for to set you in the mood for Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years, Valentine’s day and so on!
ORGANIZE IT
Since the Holidays must include food… that means lots of preparing and lots of mess making! One way to extremely stay sane during this part is to have the fridge organized with these amazing fridge organizers. You already know you’re going to make a mess on your kitchen counter, sink, and your floor… so one way to make THIS part less stressful in finding your ingredients is to have your fridge organized with these clear organizers. These are why I love it:
- See through so you can see ALL your stuff
- Easy Access with pull handles
- Clutter free, easy to organize with similar products
- Spill SAFE
Let me get into this spill safe description even more. I don’t know what it is but for some reason… bottles and jars leak? I don’t know how or what causes it, but I swear I had one of those asian chili oil jar in here and it JUST SPILLED ALL OVER THIS BIN. I immediately felt frustrated and irked, but then I pulled the organizer bin out and was like, “Oh, this could’ve been ten times worse if I didn’t have these.
It contained ALL the chili oil mess and I literally had only that small thing to clean. It was amazing. It brought me back to those olden days where I had to take everything out and clean that whole area because of one thing that spilled. Anyway, I got these a while back, but check out the similar organization below that is a much better deal than what I had!
RELAX YOUR MIND… AND BODY!
Last but not least is to always make sure your bedroom is clean and zen for breaks and for at the end of the day. The Holidays doesn’t mean that you have to be on your feet all day long. It is a lie that you have to always be up doing something ALL DAY. Forget your mom guilt or just your basic guilt that you are expected to work, work, work.
Sometimes when you are a stay at home mom who works at home, you have this unnecessary expectation of yourself that you literally have to be ON. IT. ALL. THE. TIME. No, mama. You sit down and you relax. Savor your break time. God loves you, your mind, and your body Take care of you and take that time to rest.
Making the bed in the morning may seem like an extra step. Okay, it is an extra step that I don’t want to do in the morning, but it will help out for sure. When you’re busy during the day and tired… ready for a break, come back to your safe haven where you can relax. It’s especially even more relaxing if you know your bed is made, sheets are clean, just ready for you to bask in all the softness and peacefulness.
I love reading a book, watching a tv show, or just laying down during my downtime. Especially at the end of the night, where I’m ready to just full on relax… knowing that I have my bed ready and clean is AMAZING. I sit down, bundle up, and ahhhh… this is the life. I have been using bamboo sheets lately and I can’t even tell you how good it feels. These are so incredibly soft and keeps me really cool at nigh.! Sometimes I kick off my sheets and blanket at night because I get hot, but the bamboo keeps my temperature perfect!
My husband really likes these sheets as well and I really want to upgrade my kids sheets now, haha. The bamboo throw blanket is a really nice extra touch to your bedding set because you wouldn’t want to be inside your covers when you’re just taking a break. I love just snuggling up in my throw blanket and read a book or watch a TV episode! Check out Cariloha Bamboo bedding here:
I hope you will have an amazing Thanksgiving, Christmas, and an extremely HAPPY New Year. I hope these three easy tips will help you stay sane during these busy Holidays. Thank you so much for visiting my blog and see you on my next post!
