We have less than a month until school is back in session. All three of my kids will be going to full day school now so you know what mama’s got to do? Get them ready! Since Mimi will be going to school with my two oldest, she needs all the things that they need. No more preschool, time for kindergarten! By the way, she is totally looking forward to go to the big school like her older sister and brother. Can you tell?

THE BACKPACK: JUJUBE BE PACKED
Keilani have used the Jujube Be Right Back backpack for three years now, but since Jujube came out with the Be Packed, she wanted to try something new. I agree with her decision since this bag is much, much, much better in size for kids! She loved the BRB, but this one is perfect for a school backpack. It is big enough to fit folders and other school items. It has a front pocket as well to put their wallet or other personal items! Check out all the other prints available:
THE LUNCH BAG: ZOLI NOM NOM
The other thing I love about the Be Packed is that it also has a mesh water bottle pocket. It can stretch to make it easier for our kids to take or put away their water bottles. My kids love the ZoLi Pow Pip water bottles because it keeps the water cool throughout the day. They have tons of colors so it’s easy to match!
Speaking of matching, Keilani has handed down the mint colored water bottle and the mint lunch bag to her younger sister. It matches Mimi’s backpack perfectly! The lunch bags are called the ZoLi Nom Nom and it is big enough to fit all kinds of lunches that kids want to bring. They usually like some type of sandwich and some dry snacks in their ZoLi Snack Pods. It also has pockets on the side that can also fit a water bottle.
Isn’t Keilani’s color theme just so grown? I mean, she doesn’t want characters on her backpack anymore. This Black Ruby print is so pretty for a tween. With her red lunch bag and white water bottle, she is going to school in style!
THE SHOES: SEE KAI RUN
Shoes are really important for school because it needs to be comfortable and cute, right? Not only that, but it can’t hinder kids recess or PE, either. These See Kai Run shoes are so stylish and can compliment any of their outfits, but it promotes healthy foot development.
These are FLEXIBLE so that when they run, jump, climb, and play at school… these will bend easily to the activity that they are doing. Try out these shoes and see how much they can bend! I also notice that the area around their toes do not narrow in which gives them room to feel comfortable throughout the day.
Keilani is wearing the Peyton style in the color Pewter, and Ezekiel is wearing the same style in Black. Keilani also has a black one that you can see in the previous photo!
Mimi is wearing the Robyne style in the color Silver. I’m super obsessed with this style because I’ll be honest, last year she had the same style in a different color because it just looks so, so cute in younger kids! This one actually has mint color accents on the shoes, and again… matching with her backpack and lunch bag. (Totally didn’t plan it)
THE OUTFITS: TARGET & HM
I only shop at two stores for our kids back to school outfits. Two words. Target. H&M. Done! Oh my gosh, you guys… as a mama and after having kids in school for almost a decade now is that the best stores are those two. I do shop at other stores for branded things, but the majority of their main outfits are from there!
They both have amazing deals when it’s time for school. They change all the time, but I saved about forty to fifty dollars at target because they had a crazy good deal of $10 off of $40 or something like that. I’m pretty sure that’s expired now, but seriously… they always have a great deal.
I usually shop at Target for the girls, but for some reason for my son, I shop at H&M. I think they have more selection for older boys. I found SO many cute tops and bottoms. He is all decked out in H&M gear in this photo: hoodie, shirt, and jeans!
One thing to note is I think most stores do not pre-shrink the cotton material when making them so I actually buy a size bigger because I just know that it will shrink once washed and dried. My son is seven and he is on the petite side, but I still buy him a size 8/9.
READY FOR SCHOOL
I still can’t believe all of my kids are going to be gone for a full school day. I know they’re excited, I’m excited, too but this is a big change for me! I’m sad, happy, excited, nervous, ecstatic, and joyful all at once I don’t even know what’s going on. Ahh! At least I know they’re well prepared and have everything they need to start school. Also, I will finally be able to volunteer at school and get to know their teachers, friends, and other school staff. I may even join the PTA? What do you guys think? Are you in the PTA? How’s it like? Thank you so much for visiting my blog and until next time!
