I have a few months before my baby goes to preschool and these mornings will be so limited… so kisses, my love, until you leave mama. Our afternoon walk was so very refreshing, especially after a busy morning of birthday party preparing. This brisk walk definitely put a seat back on a racing mind of needing to finish what needs to be done! With that said, I’m totally going to miss these times when my baby goes to full day school.
We gathered the acorns in our “rest area” and Mimi expressed she wanted to make something special! She’s such a great mama’s helper since she enjoyed running bath and forth gathering what she can in her little hands. The rest of the acorns, well… good thing she has pockets!
We made a beautiful little heart to express how much we loved this time we are blessed to have. I know most of you don’t know this but we have a little catchy phrase we like to sing from time to time. She goes and sings, “Mama and Mimi” over and over as we twirled around this heart of ours!
That quickly ended when she decided to stomp on the acorns. Hmm. Well, it was great while it lasted!
She felt like such a big kid sitting in the back of this stroller, since she usually sits in the front while one of her older siblings sits in the back. I have really been enjoying this tandem stroller because of its ease of use. I realize this is not a jogging stroller, but hey, we were walking! On another note, I’m really thinking of adding on a rain cover to this since our Washington state loves rain. Shortly after this, we walked back home to eat some lunch. You know what happened after we arrived home? Down comes the rain! Whew!
Mimi wanted to show her older sister and brother about the acorns today, but since it was raining we couldn’t go outside. After her tales of a playground visit and acorn art, the sisters enjoyed a little book reading. Okay, Keilani was the only one reading and Mimi was not tenderly playing on the frozen book piano… but totally loving the sister love here! I’m sure once she learns to read, the book sessions will be very calming. Keilani is such a book worm like her mama, I’m so proud to see that because reading helps build vocabulary, imagination, and creativity. She always borrows two books from her school and one is always a chapter book while the other is a comic book!
Today was one of those days where it was just special. Sure, mornings can be hectic if you have tons to do, but a quick walk outside can bring us down to a few moments of relieve and rejuvenation. I was sure pumped to finish my decorating and when, dishwashing afterwards, ha!
