Wow, I can’t believe it’s been three years since the last coffee bar post! Looking back, this… ahem… has definitely filled up. Haha! Yes, I’m a basic mom and I love coffee. What’s new? Let’s take a look at what IS new though!
added an espresso machine!
I added an espresso machine! We have had a keurig for the longest time and if you didn’t know, that’s the first gen keurig. Still working AMAZING. Meet my super cute, super new, and super tiny Nespresso Essenza Mini and the Aeroccino Milk Frother! I will show more photos of this in another post, but I mean… if you’re really wondering about this, you can watch the video below!
I needed something to elevate the machines because it’s actually really short and tiny. I wanted this one specifically to take for glamping in an RV since it’s pretty compact. It looked SO out of place on this table due to the lack of height, so I added this wooden tray. It was used as an extra decor for my paper towel holder, haha. It looks way better here and I love how the wooden color made this area look much more pretty.
sugar and spice
I am completely overjoyed with this. On the left side, I added a round wooden thingy underneath the spoon rest plates. This was actually a birthday decor I used for one of Keilani’s woodsie animal theme party.
On the bottom part of the shelf, I just put more of my kcups for the keurig. Although on the right side, I have extra pods for the espresso machine. I hardly use those ones and will be for leftovers if I ever run out of my holy grail espresso pods. You’ll hear more on that later.
In the middle, I have created the sign for the Matthew 18:20 bible verse because truly – In the midst of us, HE is there. I love it and it is perfect for this coffee bar. You can print your own by clicking this free pdf!
Since I have an espresso machine, this mama has been making lots of lattes and hot cocoa for my family! This autumn season to start off, I chose two coffee toppers. I found these glass spice jars with these cute wooden spoons attached to it at World Market. This CANNOT be more perfect. I was with my friend Lynn and I was like THIS?? This???! She was like, “THIS!!!”
The topper on the left is my homemade pumpkin pie spice. It’s SOOOO easy to make that I sometimes wonder why people buy the mixed ones already. Way cheaper to make yourself! Rawr! The topper on the right is smoked salt sugar? Haha, I don’t even think there’s an appropriate name for this, but this is used to top off your salted caramel mocha. So freaking good in this specific latte. All it is just turbinado sugar and smoked sea salt.
I changed out my other sugar canister on this shelf. Of course I still have my normal white sugar and powder creamer on the left side, but the Rae Dunn one is filled with brown sugar. YES! Woo!! Why? Well, it’s to make my bomb diggity brown sugar oat milk latte! Ever since Starbucks came out with that this Summer, I learned to make my own. I literally was shocked when I figured how EASY it is to make that. Like wow, I’ve overpaid for that. Haha.
I also added a Hearth & Hand By Magnolia measuring spoon set here. I love this brand. I have the black color here that I bought last year, but it looks like they have a rose gold one this year. It’s only available exclusively for Target and I am in love with the whole setup they got at my Target that I want to buy the whole aisle. Ah, okay I’m getting carried away.
Apart from that, I’ve added a Eucalyptus greenery also by Hearth & Hand.
sweeten your morning cup
I smile as I write this because looking at my previous blog post, I didn’t have many mugs at all. As a matter of fact, I didn’t have many things at all. Lo and behold, Rae Dunn mugs have filled this wall shelf.
These syrup bottles are the newest, though. I added these like couple of weeks back from today. Everything happened because of the Nespresso machine, lol. It’s like a rock falling down a hill and it won’t stop. Anyway, these syrup dispensers are actually oil dispensers. I didn’t want anything tall or big and this was perfect!
I love the gold top and the cork material underneath it. It’s just so classy and farmhousy! I found these stickers from Etsy and they’re super cute. Although, when I received it, I was like “wth”. I’m a photoshop savvy person and the material of these stickers and how it was printed… well, I could’ve done this all by myself! Sometimes their photo just look more higher quality than it is. Lesson learned! Two of my stickers also had imprints from the backing of the other stickers, and the sellers were happy to solve the problem. The post office is super frustrating and they lost my replacement!
I still have these chalk jars that I got from hobby lobby three years ago. I love these to no end and I will forever have it! I previously used these for individually packaged creamer, but I figured out I hate those. It made me question, what do they put in it that doesn’t make it spoil? But then I also question why I don’t mind drinking it in restaurants. Hmm. I figure since this is my home, I could actually walk to my fridge and get a way better creamer or just use the basic powder creamer haha.
I love the Nespresso espresso pods. They’re just such good quality coffee. I’ve tried Peet’s and they’re terrible. I don’t know why?! All I know is my lattes tasted way khhhhway better with the Nespresso brand. Interesting! That’s why those extra pods were on the bottom of the table shelf. Anyway, these are the pods that I use for the one ounce espresso shot!
In the other glass jar, I have the lungo size if I just want to have a quick cup of luuuuungo! I usually sweeten it with a little bit of toffee nut syrup.
Oh. I forgot to share the flavors. On the left side, I have salted caramel and toffee nut. On the right side of the shelf, I have vanilla and lavender. I loooove these flavors. The salted caramel is for my kids when they make their favorite salted caramel cocoa. The toffee nut is my favorite sweetener ever. I put it in all my lattes. It just adds an oomph! The vanilla is of course good with everything and I pair it with the lavender syrup to make a vanilla lavender iced oatmilk latte. What’s with the oatmilk? It’s just so good. So creamy. So yum.
happiness is definitely homemade
Alright, friends! There it is. The updated coffee bar for the year 2021. What do you think? I hope you like it! I think I like this so much that I probably won’t update it anymore. It’s just perfect the way it is and exactly how I’ve visioned it! Last but not least, I want to point out again this happiness is homemade sign.
Aylyn from The Henry Home made this. I actually found her on Etsy a long time ago when her shop was open. She’s now a nurse and I don’t think she makes anymore things? I don’t know but wow her and her husband are so talented. I wish they still make and sell their wooden decors!
I just love this quote so much. I know it’s for a coffee bar, but it’s actually a life lesson we must literally brew intensely in our hearts. Just like how the nespresso Napoli has an intensity of 13, this quote should intensify your mindset by 13. Lol. I’m trying to be funny but I don’t think it’s working. Happiness is homemade. Let that sink in deeply! We choose happiness. We make it. Happiness can be intertwined with joyfulness because joy is constant. Through any storm that we are in, make that happy joy constant and forever live in our hearts. It’s beautiful.
Happiness is beautiful. Coffee is really yummy and make people smile. So there you go, create a space as a reminder and make coffee while you’re at it. Love you, my friends! Thanks so much for visiting my blog and I’ll see you on my next one!
