I love a good DIY! Well, I love an easy DIY to be exact. I’m not quite there yet with the complex do it yourself projects, but I’m good with this one because it’s easy and FAST! I was preparing to sow some seeds and I needed garden markers fast as it was a good, sunny day up here in the North West. I went online to see what I would like, but I knew it would take forever to be delivered so…. DIY IT IS!
WHAT YOU NEED:
- Pieces of printing paper + Printer
- This file: bit.ly/easydiygardenmarkers
- Laminator
- Laminating Pouches
- Craft Sticks
- Scissors
- Tape
As you can see, I have some garden markers from the Bonnie brand that came with the young plants we purchased. We also purchased some seeds and of course those do not come with any. I was actually thinking I want to replace the Bonnie ones with my own because it looks cuter, hehe.
I love how I can customize literally everything, but the most important thing is that the words are way bigger and it’s easier to read and see! I recently planted some basil seed and look how cute they are! Such cutie little baby plants.
I reused some of the pots from my bell peppers plants and planted some cilantro plants. I really much rather sow the seeds in here because to be honest, I don’t know what the plants will look like once it germinates haha. I don’t want to accidentally pluck them thinking it’s WEEDS!
Fun tip: If you would rather plant them on your raised beds or the ground… Use the same craft sticks to act as a guide as you sow the seeds. Afterwards, you’ll know where you planted them! I was soooo excited to see that my carrot plants are growing! Why are baby everything so cute?
