Sephora Rouge sale has ended and I definitely picked up stuff I have been eyeing for a while. A couple of the items I purchased are not from Sephora, though. The items I purchased are foundation, concealers, contour wand, highlighters, lips, and eyeshadow palettes. I was getting ready to meet up with my friend to do our nails and have dinner, so I thought I’ll just blog the whole thing!

FIRST STEPS
I’ve shared about the Dior Skin Glow Foundation before in this post, but I am using it again and again because I really just love it. Such a natural glow and looks like real skin. Go ahead and zoom in the photo below to see textures and all, haha. I do use the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Vanish Corrector underneath the inner part of my eyes and my dark blemishes under my nose. (MASKNE, I TELL YA!)
After that, I used the Hourglass Vanish Concealer underneath my eyes. Please only use a little with this concealer and build up as you need. For example, I wipe off some off the applicator and then do three little lines underneath my eyes. For the dark blemishes on my face, I used the Charlotte Tilbury Magic Away Concealer. The name is so funny, but sometimes I do feel like it is magic. I have the shade 5.5 because it is an exact match for my face!
NEXT STEPS FOR COMPLEXION
I have been eyeing these wands since what felt like forever. I have been so steered off because of reviews on Sephora and also on YouTube, haha. Since I can get 20% off from the sale, I just decided to try it out.
The Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand in Fair/Medium is sooooo awesome. First off, it has an on and off clicky thing so the product will not spill, and second… the color is perfect. It is a neutral shade of brown that is a great contouring color, but if you don’t bronze… you look fine, too. I didn’t bronze in this look because I honestly just forgot. I also love how I can build it up, too but I usually don’t. I just like a subtle contour.
The Charlotte Tilbury Highlight Wand is pretty cool, too. I chose the shade Spotlight because I already have cream highlighters that are rosy and gold-ish highlighters. Man, I did not realize how much I would love this. It’s described as rose gold with silver light, but it just looks like a beautiful light champagne color on me! I don’t see rose gold at all. Funny, eh? I’ve seen these on YouTube, too and it looks gorgeous on so many people. I apply it using the applicator and just blend it out with my fingers!
In the video, I think I accidentally edited out the application of the Fenty Beauty Diamond Bomb in Rose Rave, but I did use it on top of the other highlighter just to see lol. It’s so hard to share the bling without direct sunlight in good ol’ Washington state, though. You can see more about this new highlighter here! In that post, you’ll see the swatches and the video showcasing it in different lighting.
Lastly, for the blush I used the ILIA Multi Stick in Lady Bird. It’s such a beautiful nude rose color. I use this a lot during Fall and Winter (now, haha). I have another shade called I Put A Spell On You which is an orange color and it’s soooooo pretty for Summer & Spring time. Yes, yes… I go by seasons. These multi sticks looks like it’s SO SMALL and has barely any product, but I’ve had this since last year and I still have a lot left. Just because something looks small, doesn’t mean it doesn’t pack a punch.
VISEART PARIS EDIT EYESHADOW PALETTE
The Viseart Paris Edit Eyeshadow palette surprised me. I had no expectations or high hopes, mostly just wanted to try it due to the color story. Such a beautiful pinky brown and purple shades. I’ve been a longtime Viseart fan, I have the Paris Nude & The Dark Mattes palettes, but have never tried these new mini versions. I really like this mini version because I can edit the pans around and the sizes of the pans are so awesome for traveling. You can see it in the thumbnail of my video below.
When I received this, the shade Pirouette (my fave!) was shattered in the pan and the shattered pieces went to the other shadows. *CRY* I immediately called Sephora customer service, and they placed the order for the replacement right away. So, it’s coming! I hope that one is intact. I wanted to try it out so bad, so I probably spent close to an hour fixing it and cleaning it. There was LOTS of makeup wipes used and some eyeshadow powders lost. I learned something new everyday and this time it was how to fix shattered powders, LOL! It’s a good thing that Sephora remedied this situation, though. So I’m happy about that.
STEP BY STEP:
Petale: All over lid to set concealer/primer
Creme Brulee: Transition shade
Fleur: Crease, a little below transition shade
Cerise: Outer V of the eyes
Tuileries: Lid, applied on the outer corner and blended into inner
Piroutte: Pop of rose gold in the middle of lid! (or maybe all over, lol)
Fleur + Cerise: Lower lid
Champs-Elysees: Inner corner and brow bone
For my eyeliner, I used the Stila Micro Tip Liquid Eyeliner. UGH, this thing is so amazing for asian eyes, lol. I topped it off with my newest love Ardell Naked Lashes in 421. So natural, it’s like MLBB: My LASHES but better. Lol! Even more awesome that this literally costs less than five dollars. I’ve got a couple iPhone photos below, I just find it so interesting how in the same lighting without flash on either looks so different using an iPhone versus my Sony camera. Hmm, well here’s for you to see! Both are in front of a window with natural lighting.

For the lips, I used Dior Lip Glow Oil in Rosewood in the beginning before I did my makeup to make it lushhhh. Then, I used Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick in Pillow Talk Medium with the matching lipliner. These colors match so well with the eyeshadow palette. It is such a nice daytime look that I am obsessed with. The colors are just so nice and appealing!
Overall, I’m so happy with the new items I tried out. I love them all. Okay well not all, because I actually bought the Mario Eye Prep + Set and did not like it at all. It’s a nice concept but my eyeshadows just crease so bad with it. I’m so sad because I liked the idea of it. Anyway! I hope you enjoyed this natural daytime look and thanks so much for visiting my post. I’ll see you on my next one. Remember, REST on Joy. It is rewarding, believe me!
