Rise and shine! I love morning time. I love the smell of coffee and that few minutes in my morning time where I can perk up before a busy day. Of course, life with little kids can be hectic in the morning and we find ourselves hustling back and forth in the kitchen.

I have a rather odd layout in my kitchen and eating area which motivated me to create a coffee and breakfast bar where we can find all these items in one place. Coffee, tea, hot cocoa, mugs, sugar, creamer, honey, spoons, cereal, oatmeal… in one area! If you’re looking for inspiration, you’ve come to the right place! *This post contains affiliate links, thank you so much for your support!
Coffee makes me happy – I know that for sure, so this Happiness is Homemade sign surely fits in this area SO WELL. Make your own coffee, mix in your favorite creamer if you like, stir it, and enjoy! Backwood Designs NW has so many signs to choose from or create your own custom sign – but I am in love with this sign so much and I immediately thought of my coffee bar.
To make this coffee bar work, a wall shelf is a must. This is a nice one to have especially if you have a small space to store mugs! I got this wall shelf from ikea, but you can use any shelf you find. Make sure to have good support like this ekby brackets for your shelf!
If you’re a hobby lobby addict, I’m sure you’ve seen these glass jars. I know i’ve walked past them tons of times. I love these chalk glass jars because it’s perfect storage for your on the go creamers! Make sure to get at least two to separate the plain vanilla flavor with your favorite flavored creamers. My favorite is hazelnut for sure!
I also love this extra step to the coffee bar because if you have guests that spend the night in your home, it would be SO easy for them to make their own coffee. Everything is in one place! No more asking, “where’s your mugs? creamer? sugar?”
I am also a tea lover during the day and evening time and you know your girl has got to have some tea over here. I love flavored tea and Zhena’s Tea got all my favorite kinds. This chocolate truffle is my fave, tho. SO GOOD. I also found this tea glass jar from hobby lobby and that one holds all of my chai tea flavors!
Can I just say I love this view? Haha. Coffee literally does smell like ground heaven. This coffee wall decor is perfect in so many ways. I love my coffee strong and I usually use my regular mugs on the top shelf… but sometimes I like it super strong. These small cups are perfect for that and it’s also really great for tea as well! I found these wood wall decor with hooks and it’s what I envisioned in my mind. I love the simple look of these because I knew I would have a lot going on in this area already!
HELPFUL TIP: Add some color in this area by adding small plants (real or fake, doesn’t matter lol) I specifically wanted frosted plants to mute the green color and I found these at TJ MAXX!
We are a long time Keurig user and we bought this years and years ago! I’m not sure if this model is still available but I’ve been seeing this specific keurig coffee maker everywhere now if you’re looking for one. The Keurig will most likely take a big area on your table, but that’s why opting to add a shelving system like this IKEA Klimpen add on unit will give you some extra room.
On this unit:
- Sugar canister
- Powder creamer canister
- Wooden spoon holder (for use of the powders)
- Honey jar
- Rectangular Ceramic spoon organizer (mine is Rae Dunn found at TJ Maxx)
- Spoon rest plates (for the used stirring spoons)
- Starbucks hazelnut flavor syrup
- Oatmeal
On the right side of the shelf are cereal dispensers and I love putting these here because it’s easy for the kids to reach!
Isn’t this ceramic organizer so cute? This one says “organizer” and I found these at TJ Maxx but I also saw other ones that say “keep” and “stash”. I don’t really want to get you into the Rae Dunn craze but these are really nice looking products that looks RAELLY, RAELLY nice literally everywhere in your home. I’m still not lucky enough to find the white mugs. Oh well, haha!
I was on the hunt for honey jars for my honey, but the more I think about it… the creamed honey that we buy isn’t runny at all. I opted to use this small glass jar instead and it works perfectly!
I recommend opting for a table that has drawers! This specific table is actually an office desk table. You can see more of this desk by watching my video. It’s a long table, but very narrow so it won’t take too much space in your kitchen or eating area. I store the coffee pods here as well as other teas and powdered packets!
Last but not least is this extra addition to the coffee bar! Add drawers on the side of your coffee table to store hot cocoa packets, green tea, and extra coffee pods. I drink green tea everyday and I buy them in bulk from Costco. I also store my ginger tea packets here as well for those sick days! On the top of these drawers is an electric kettle that I LOVE SO MUCH.
It’s so awesome to have hot water right on the spot to make your tea or hot cocoa. It takes a couple of minutes for it to boil but oh my, it stays hot for hours and hours so if you want refill… TA-DAW. Just pour and get your sip on.
FUN TIP: Store on the go thermos right next to the kettle so if you want to bring it along for the day – one stop is all you need to make!
This truly puts a smile on a face especially for coffee drinkers! It’s fun, simple, and it kind of turns a breakfast area into having a coffee shop feel to it. Watch the video above if you’re looking for a hands-on demo for this coffee bar! I hope I can find a similar drawer to put on the other side of this table, it would be a nice area to put pastries and other breakfast items, too. I hope you found some great inspiration here to create a coffee bar right in your own home! Thank you so much for visiting my blog and see you on my next post!
