One of the perks of having a travel trailer or an RV is that you can skip the hotels and its cost! This was something I didn’t realize when we got our travel trailer. I love having our home away from home and it definitely feels like HOME in different places. Our first stay of our Spring Break 2017 was near San Fransisco at Petaluma KOA. We didn’t get to do much in this KOA because we were always on the go, but there were lots of cool things that we saw such as Petting Zoo, an outdoor bouncy house, a pool, and probably so much more! The one thing that my children were able to experience was the playground they had. It was nicely built with challenges that kids enjoy, but also, very safe!
This playset for older children has two open slides and one tunnel slide. This is definitely more for five years old and up as it could be a bit much for preschoolers. My son and older daughter definitely loved this side!
On the other side of the large playset was this super cool rock climbing for kids to practice their hiking skills. As a parent, I loved seeing this challenge my son a bit. He was also able to climb up the rock from the side!
On the other side of the playground was a toddler’s playset! It is best suited for preschoolers and toddlers. I am very impressed at the tractor design for this playset.
The slide isn’t a traditional slide either, my daughter loves slides but she is sometimes hesitant due to fear of falling on her bum. I thought that this was a pretty nice change from the Norma slides. Kids can reach the slide from the steps shown here or the ladder in the previous picture!
Last but not least, my daughter loved loved climbing this! It has so many ways and sides to climb and if they don’t want to go all the way to the top, they can just sit in the middle and enjoy the setting! My oldest daughter is a climber and just loves to climb everything. This was definitely her favorite!
I almost forgot about the spinning seat! None of my children wanted to play on this because of dizziness, but my son said the seat was pretty comfortable and the handles on the side was a huge plus to prevent falling. I still wouldn’t play on this though. Lol.
North California was still pretty breezy during this early Spring, although it was extremely sunny and all around beautiful! They still had to wear outerwear and long pants in the morning. My son is wearing his traditional shirt and jeans with his cool teal sweatshirt from Mama said Tees. Love this color so much! My oldest daughter was very comfortable in her black leggings, tank, and biker jacket. I feel like we were still in Washington for a moment, haha.
Casual, edgy, or dressy… no matter how your children are dressed up, this simple but fun bracelets can easily be added in to their outfits! My kids had so much fun choosing theirs for the day. My son, in the above picture, chose the digital camo in orange and gray while the girls of course chose ones that had the color pink, no surprise! See more about these fun, affordable bracelets here: http://instagram.com/loops.bracelets or straight to their website here. These are also waterproof that can be left on while in the pool at the KOA or beach!
We enjoyed our stay at Petaluma KOA and we would definitely come back if we are ever in the area again. If you are ever in need of a KOA when you’re around San Fransisco, this is a must because of all the activities the children can do. Definitely check out all of them if you have time! I wish we were able to take advantage of all the activities because they sounded so fun.
