Sunday School

I woke up pretty early today so I could get a head start. I usually don’t wake up until about 7 or 7:30 depending on what time MiMi decides to wake up, but today I woke up at 6:30! I made our bed, got ready for church and had a little morning coffee. Keilani and Mimi woke up about an hour later and I got them ready. It’s been a hard week for ez since he’s been sick, so he has been a little fussy. He has a children’s loft bed where he would sleep on the top bunk, and his toys would be below it. This morning he told me he wants to turn his bed upside down so he can sleep on the lower side, I’m guessing it’s because it’s easier for him to get back into bed at night. So that’s what ez and I will be doing today, reorganizing his room!
We weren’t quite sure if we were going to make it to church today, but we ended up making it! It’s like a journey sometimes, or a challenge for me to gather all the kids to go somewhere. It’s always easier when my husband has the Sunday morning off, but it is only sometimes he gets to trade shifts with a coworker. I do think it’s important for the kids to go to Sunday school and for myself to go, too. It’s a very nice and a joyful feeling to be sorrounded by other people who love God. I always learn something new and am always very convicted to hear our pastor’s message every Sunday. He is the kind of pastor who does not sugar coat the bible, he’s very honest and truthful to all aspects of the bible instead of picking parts and pieces. Some churches do not do this because they do not want to offend newcomers, but I really appreciate how much truth our pastor preaches. It’s very convicting, which most definitely reshape our hearts the way the bible is meant to do.

Brian and Patti are back from Hawaii and it was really nice to see them again! They’ve got a nice tan and are tanner than me now haha. I really need to get tan, well I don’t need to but I want to! Can’t wait till it’s our turn to go to Hawaii…

After church, the kids and I stopped by Fred Meyers to get their favorite meal for Sundays. They ALWAYS ask for fried chicken, croissants, salad with French fries or rice. They have these baby croissants that are just perfect for kids. Of course as always whenever we go to the store, I always forget something. Forgot to get milk, again. Lol. Our day is not over yet and later we have plans to come over Patti’s house because she has a little surprise for them!
To be continued…

6:17 PM

After Mimi’s nap, we went to Patti’s house because she wanted to show the kids something she got last week. It was this super adorable toy house that she got for the calico critters! These toys have been around for so long and they are pretty pricey nowadays. I think a little family of the critters cost about twenty dollars, and you can imagine what the dollhouse would cost! She found a great deal of the Woodzee house and it was perfect for them. Keilani and Mimi literally played with it the whole time!

While these were very cute for the girls, I don’t think EZ was interested in it haha. He went straight for the hot wheels! Brian made a track in their living room so he can play with it and it’s really funny to watch him play with the cars.

While the kids played, I had some yummy vanilla almond tea while she told me about her trip to Hawaii. Seriously, she always has some good tea at her house! I have this peach tea at home that she got for me, and I only have one left. Oh no! I love my tea with honey, it’s just the perfect taste of sweetness for me. Anyway, our conversation is making me really really anxious for OUR trip to Hawaii. Can these months just go by faster? But then if time goes faster, my kids will grow up faster…. 😢

Brian and Patti also had little souvenirs for our family from their trip to Hawaii. They are so loving, caring, and thoughtful we feel so lucky to have neighbors like them. I honestly feel like they are like my mom and dad!

Today was a very good and eventful day and I think the kids had a great time. It’s almost bed time for the kids soon and now will you excuse me while I have some hot green tea with my new Hawaiian honey? Yumm!
