Washington State Literally Is So Hot

Dear Friends,

Ugh. I don’t like hot season. I meannnn, I can do like low 80s, but over a hundred degrees? Meh… It was soooooo hot that as soon as you step outside, you’re sweatastic – fantastically sweaty. My sis Christine and I planned to go to the Korean bbq BEFORE we knew that Saturday was going to be blazing af. It was 102? 108? All I know was that it was ridiculous. At the same time, we could hang lol. (no, we can’t)

Korean BBQ

Enter Korean barbecue… Well, did we think this through? We chose the bulgogi beef and chicken bbq!

The sides were so good. My favorite was the spicy fish cake, mushrooms, and that weird potato thing. I usually don’t like potatoes like that one but that was good!

No seriously, did we think this through? HAHA. Ew, this made us still hot inside. Good thing though, once it was cooked… the grill was turned off. Also, I forgot to take pictures of the cooked meat, but here’s a gross partly cooked photo for you.

Ding Tea

Close by the Korean barbecue place, there’s this place called Ding Tea that really makes some really delicious bubble teas. I remember way back when boba tea used to be so basic that it was made from flavored powder. The only choice was tapioca balls or mini tapioca balls. Maybe there was coconut jelly, but honestly none of them besides the original boba looked pleasing.

Now they got lychee jelly, coconut jelly, coffee jelly, rainbow jelly, grass jelly, whatever jelly… you name it! I actually forgot what drinks we chose, but it was all tropical flavor with mango and passion fruit in it. It was the cold that we needed in our bodies! I finished mine so fast.

Chamber’s Bay

Afterwards, we made ourselves hot again by visiting Chamber’s Bay. We took a pretty short walk actually. There was no way, we would roast in the sun trying to do long walks. We went down by the water and soaked up little sprinkles from the “wind” and water. It wasn’t enough so under the bridge we go. I usually take way more photos to show the area, but I think I was too hot to even try. LOL. I wanted to show you guys the locks that people have left on the bridge. I thought it was dumb at first, but then the more I look at it… I kind of want to do it.

Definitely going to come here again during the fall when it gets way cooler! In summary, it was a fun day hanging out with the sis. I’ve missed her! It’s been super hard for me to really hang out with anyone in a one on one level since I started working outside of the home.

So when little sis mentioned the bbq again, I was like YES! Don’t you just love when a family member or friend that takes the time to reach out to you? And also vice versa. It takes two people to create a relationship and to keep it. That goes for every relationship you have: spouse, relative, friend, and even co workers!

You could go about your day and pay no mind… but what is the reward in that? We reap what we sow. We cannot expect when we do not give and there is no reward when one concentrates on just themselves.

Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows. The one who sows to please his sinful nature, from that nature will reap destruction; the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life. Galatians 6:7-8

I think next weekend, I planned to go to my women’s ministry service… but I think their time and day has moved and I have to work! *cry* I’m going to be so sad to miss hearing Me Ra Koh speak. She’s the author of the 4 Minutes book. Anyway, tomorrow is Fourth of July and guess what? I’ve got to work! LOL.

Alrighty friends, I think that’s all for today. If you’re close by all these places and have not yet tried it… you really should! It’s mm mm good. Have a great weekend and don’t forget… I love you and God loves you!
